Tidelands Estates a dba for The Village at Palm Coast - HOA is a phase one project of single family homes located within the Tidelands on the Intracoastal, a Centex Destination Property now Pulte Homes, in Palm Coast, Florida.

Tidelands a lush community surrounded by water on three sides where only about 40% of the nearly 80 acre community is being developed. The balance of the community showcases open lawns, oak trees, 11 acres of lakes, canals and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Last month a decision was made to replace the company responsible for lake maintenance. Our lake was in a terrible state with algae covering several feet from all sides and most of the growth in the lake was dead. The fountains were in disrepair and only partly working. After many requests to May Management to have the cost share take care of these problems to no avail we were forced to take the responsibility for our lake and made the change.

Aquatics Systems was hired by Phase-I to maintain our lake and they have been on site almost daily with continued applications to kill the Algae and Grass and the lake is already showing a major improvement. September 2nd they were on site planting new water plants in our lake to assure it will be healthy going forward. The pictures below are the crews planting Duck Potato, Pickerel weed, and Giant Bulrush. The three fountains should be back in working order soon, and we will be stocking the lake with several types of fish. Jay Martindell has been working with Aquatics Systems on this new contract, and now to assure everything is progressing to plan.
